Action labs are the practical component of the institute, driven by community-engaged research based on collaborations across institutions, cultures, and places. Examples include collaborative research projects, incubation spaces, and working groups that bring together Indigenous knowledges across the globe.
In this section, we highlight both ongoing and prospective projects by our Principal Investigator, community collaborators, graduate and undergraduate researchers, and more. These projects, ranging from archival research to scientific inquiry at sea demonstrate the breadth of interdisciplinary approaches to the question of Indigenous Futures and take seriously Indigenous knowledge systems.
