Sugar cane mills in Hawaii, rusting naval shipyards in San Diego, abandoned battery waste yards in Tijuana – these are the ruins of colonization. We propose working with communities to recondition these waste sites, not to erase the history of colonization, but to create interactive spaces of community technology and art. Dr. Fox’s genomics lab, and various environmentalist community organizations would be our proposed partners.
