Dr. Sarah Aarons is an Iñupiaq (Alaska Native) Earth scientist and Assistant Professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego specializing in climate change, Earth’s surface processes, isotope geochemistry, and paleoclimatology. Sarah is a former UC Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellow and a Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow, and currently serves on the Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) Diversity and Inclusion Leadership team.
